Day 2

Pyramids & Cairo Museum

Your guide will be waiting for you after breakfast to start your day exploring most famous sights in Cairo.

The last remaining wonder of the Ancient World – the breathtaking Pyramids of Giza - will be your first stop. Cheops, Chefren and Menkaure pyramids and the Sphinx have stood the test of time for many centuries and continue to impress many a visitor with their grandeur.

After lunch you will continue your way to the Egyptian Museum which boasts the world's largest collection of pharaonic antiquities. Among its many artifacts, the exhibit includes the world-famous treasures of the child king Tutankhamen and the royal mummy room.

Nile Cruise – Luxor East Bank

Our representative will meet you on arrival at Luxor Airport to escort you to the cruise boat of your choice, help with check-in and provide with useful information.

Day 4

Nile Cruise – Luxor West Bank

Early morning, you will head to the heart of the Theban Necropolis on Luxor's West Bank where tombs, mortuary temples and colossal statues were built for pharaohs of the New Kingdom. The Valley of the Kings still hides many secrets and includes the tomb of king Tutankhamen, preserved almost intact for more than 3,000 years.

No less splendid is the mortuary built beneath the cliffs of Deir el Bahri for Queen Hatshepsut, the most powerful woman to ever rule Egypt.

Your last stop for the day will be the Colossi of Memnon. Legend has it that the two massive stone statues still protect the Necropolis of the ancient Thebes.

The rest of the day, you will be relaxing and admiring the beautiful landscape along the River Nile as your cruise boat sails upstream to your next destination.

Day 5

Nile Cruise - Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

The cruise boat will dock at the city of Edfu where a carriage will be waiting to take you to the Edfu Temple. Dedicated to the falcon god Horus, it is one of the best preserved temples in Egypt.

Back aboard your floating home, you will sail south to reach the town of Kom Ombo by late afternoon.

You will end your day with a visit to its unconventional double temple built for worship of Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility and world's creator, and the falcon god of light, Haroeris.

Day 6

Nile Cruise – Aswan

You will wake up in Aswan – a mesmerizing Nubian city with old colonial architecture and an air of mystery that inspired the famous novelist, Agatha Christie.

There is no better way to start your day than with a love story. You will visit the cult centre of goddess Isis who spent her days on the Island of Philae protecting the heart of her beloved Osiris.

The story of the Temple of Isis will take you back to the modern-day Aswan and the controversies surrounding the High Dam. Built in the 70s, this impressive construction forever changed the course of life along the Nile.

After lunch, you will sail on a traditional Egyptian boat known as felucca around the Elephantine Island with its many Nubian villages.

The day will end with a cup of Egyptian tea in hand and watching the sunset from the terrace of the Old Cataract Hotel where Agatha Christie wrote her famous novel “Murder on the Nile”.

Your Day in Aswan

You can spend the morning at your leisure visiting the place of worship of Ramesses the Great at Abu Simbel. The two monumental temples are not only awe-inspiring. They were removed and reassembled during the construction of the High Dam – a feat that attests to the country's dedication to preserve its cultural heritage.

You can opt for a motor-boat trip to a Nubian village in Gharib Soheil on the West Bank of Aswan. This colourful hamlet will welcome you with its laid-back atmosphere, the scent of spices in the air and the larger-than-life smiles on the faces of Nubian children you will meet on your walk through the village. For a full cultural experience, you will also visit a Nubian family and a local school.

According to your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for the flight to Cairo.

Back in Cairo, you can dedicate your day to visiting the Coptic quarter with its famous Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue and exploring the many mosques and palaces of Islamic Cairo.

Alternatively, take a day tour of Alexandria and immerse yourself in the history of Egypt's proudest port city on the Mediterranean. You will visit the mysterious Catacombs of Kom El-Shokafa and Bibliotheca Alexandrina, built to commemorate the long-lost Library of Alexandria, as well as the Citadel of Qaitbey which stands on the ruins of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria.
