Day 2

Rosetta Sightseeing Tour

The road will take you to the ancient city of Rosetta, currently known as Rashid.

On arrival, you will visit Rashid Museum, one of the unique red-and-black brick houses in the city’s narrow winding streets. It houses a replica of the famous Rosetta Stone, first text inscribed in three languages, Ancient Pharaonic, Demotic, and Ancient Greek. A walk in the streets will let you observe the city's life with its bustling markets and the well-preserved Ottoman houses, including the colourful House of Amasyali and the Mill of Abu Shaheen.

The last stop is the Hanging Mosque of Rosetta and the 15th century Citadel on the outskirts of the city.
