Day 1

Enjoy a fascinating tour to Mukawer, Madaba, Nebo and Dead Sea from Amman. Your tour manager will pick you up from your hotel in Amman and continue the trip to Mukawer (Machaerus), the former stronghold of Herod Antipas. This is the place where Herod had ordered the incarceration of St. John the Baptist. Then drive to the town Madaba, where you find the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. After that continue to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses thought to be gazed at the promised land before he died and alleged to be his burial place.
